I found this lovely memory from a few years ago. I was preparing ‘En ferment les yeux’ from Massenet’s beautiful opera Manon when Harry came to visit me at the piano. He gave me a great lesson in concentration, co-ordination and the discipline of practice. Lovely memories from a precious time! ![]()

I was taught this aria by my then teacher Nicolai Gedda (one of the greatest tenors ever) when studying with him in Stockholm. If you want to hear one of the definitive versions then look him up and have a listen. ![]()
